Risalah Aktiviti Passport Singapura

Travel to the bustling town and trading port of Kampong Gelam and learn more about its stories through “Passport Singapura”.

This activity booklet introduces the permanent galleries of the Malay Heritage Centre through a series of fun activities. The accompanying Parent/Teacher’s Kit serves as a guide for teachers who are bringing students on self-guided tours within our galleries.

Available for free in English & Malay.

'Voyage of Discovery' Activity Kit

What are the stories behind a family's heirloom? Go on a ‘Voyage of Discovery’ with Laila as she discovers a suitcase ofAtok’s(grandfather’s) treasures and learn more about the Bugis community. This activity pack comes with a Parents’ and Educators’ Guide for adults to conduct a self-guided visit.

Craft-efact!

Pre-school & Above

Create your ownkerongsang(brooch) at the Malay HeritageCentre and see the actual artefact for yourself! Besides learningabout the accessory, students will also find out more about thegoods traded by Banjarese merchants.

Teachers may reserve the self-guided craft activity when theybook a visit to the museum. The activity may be conducted by ateacher before or after the tour.

Group size: 20 participants at any one time

Little Curators' Workshop

Little Curators' Workshop

Get up close and personal with rare artefacts and experience what it is like to be a curator for a day in this fun-filled workshop by the Malay Heritage Centre. Students will understand the functions of a museum, gain new skills and appreciate the tasks involved in curating an exhibition.

They will also learn how to create a mini exhibition with their classmates.

Duration: 2 hours
Group size: Minimum 15; maximum 20 participants
Language: English
Fee: $400.00 per group

"Did You Know - Fun Fact" Pull-up Banners

The “Did You Know – Fun Fact” pull-up banners introduce students to the Malay Heritage Centre and some of the artefacts featured in the permanent galleries.Schools can borrow these portable pull-up banners for events, festivals or as pre or post museum visit resources.

Artefacts which are highlighted include the haj belt, the musical score of Majulah Singapura, and an image of the Baweanese community in Singapore. Students can also access an online quiz hosted on Kahoot!.

*The online quiz is available in both English and Malay.


Loan period:

Minimum of 2 weeks; maximum of 1 month

Pasport Singapura

Passport Singapura memberikan pengenalan kepada tema-tema yang terdapat dalam galeri-galeri pameran tetap di Taman Warisan Melayu melalui sebuah siri aktiviti-aktiviti yang menarik. Risalah Panduan untuk Para Guru yang mendampingi program ini juga bertujuan sebagai panduan untuk para guru membawa murid-murid mereka dalam sebuah lawatan berpandu sendiri melalui galeri-galeri kami.

Risalah-risalah ini tersedia dalam Bahasa Inggeris dan Melayu.

Mereka Utusan: Merakamkan Kemodenan Melayu 1920-an - 1960-an memberikan tekanan kepada kepentingan bahasa dalam sesebuah masyarakat dengan menjejak kembali perkembangan modernity dan identity masyarakat Melayu melalui percetakan, iklan-iklan dan editorial kartun. Ketahui dengan lebih mendalam lagi bagaimana masyarakat Melayu Singapura menggunakan kuasa media masa untuk membincangkan dan memberikan gerak balas terhadap acara-acara sedunia seperti Peperangan Dunia Ke-II dan pergerakan nasionalis yang kemudiannya telah melanda seluruh rantau Asia Tenggara.

Sebuah risalah aktiviti sampingan pameran ini juga tersedia untuk para pelajar dalam Bahasa Inggeris dan Melayu.
